AhlulBayt News Agency: In a speech delivered during the gathering held on Eid al-Ghadir at the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) , Ayatollah Mohammad Mahdi Shabzendehdar described the Zionist regime as a grave danger to the entire Islamic world, particularly the Shia community.
Referring to the Quranic verse revealed after the declaration of the wilayat (guardianship) of Imam Ali (PBUH), he stated: “After the announcement of the Commander of the Faithful's wilayat, God declared: ‘Today the disbelievers have despaired of vanquishing your religion.’ This verse clearly indicates that the endurance of Islam is tied to the principle of wilayat.” He stressed that divine guardianship—manifested during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Imams (PBUT)—now continues under the leadership of the Supreme Leader during the era of occultation.
Ayatollah Shabzendehdar noted that life in this world has always been a blend of joy and sorrow. “While we are celebrating Eid al-Ghadir, the Islamic and Shia world simultaneously endures deep pain at the hands of the oppressive, child-killing, and barbaric Zionist regime,” he said.
He lamented the martyrdom of prominent Islamic figures and nuclear scientists at the hands of Zionist agents, stating, “Martyrdom is indeed an honor for these noble souls, who are now in divine communion with the infallible Imams (PBUT). However, the loss of such dedicated, selfless individuals who tirelessly served the people weighs heavily on us all.”
As Secretary of the Supreme Council of Seminaries, Ayatollah Shabzendehdar emphasized that the path of truth has always been fraught with hardship. “From the prophets to the infallible Imams (PBUT), trials have been an integral part of the divine path,” he said, adding that God has created mankind free and destined this world to be a place of test and trial for all.
